DISCLAIMER: Zak's Random News is very random and doesn't cover many things, and not everything may be accurate, because I'm just some guy. Go find a real news source.
Good morning. It’s June 8, 2025, and it’s a Sunday. Greetings from the battleground of Los Angeles, CA. The sun is rising over a… completely normal and peaceful, quiet landscape that feels like any other Sunday morning that ever happened. I know a lot of you want some direct info on the things you’re seeing on your news, and I promise we’ll get to that quickly here.
- But first, a Pride Note…
- Ever notice how these athletic rules and bathroom laws only specify alleged transgressions regarding the acts of transgender women?
- No one is worried about trans men using the men’s room. No one is worries about trans men competing against other men in sports. No one even mentions those things.
- Why do you think that is?
- Seriously, why is it? I’m not going to tell you the answer. You have to figure this one out on your own. And what you decide may make you think a little bit.
- And now, the news.
- I guess we should start at the start. It’s important for you folks to get some context at what’s happening.
- You already know that people in the Los Angeles area were angry about ICE raids that happened on Friday, as we reported.
- Yesterday, federal immigration enforcement operations triggered more protests across Southern California for the second consecutive day.
- On Saturday morning, ICE conducted raids in the city of Paramount, a city south of downtown LA and about 10 miles east of where I live.
- As has often been the case, ICE went to a local Home Depot where undocumented people gather, hoping to find work in construction, roofing, landscaping, painting, roofing, and other tough jobs that most other people don’t want.
- And then as they did on Friday, large groups of protesters quickly assembled near raid sites, escalating tensions with federal authorities.
- I’m going to pause right there. Those protests were not widespread. They were contained in small pockets of the area where the ICE raids were taking place.
- The way it was being stated by the right-wing media, some of you got the false impression that all of Los Angeles — a metro area of over 10,000,000 people — was a war zone.
- No, the areas where protests grew intense were in a few isolated spots. If you were a mile or so away, you wouldn’t have any idea they were happening.
- Nevertheless, they represent the most significant resistance to federal immigration enforcement since Dump's return to office in January.
- And I’m proud that it’s happening here in my beloved LA.
- What happened next, and why?
- Dumpy deployed 2,000 California National Guard troops to LA, despite Governor Gavin Newsom’s objections.
- The White House said that Dump was deploying the Guardsmen to “address the lawlessness that has been allowed to fester” in California.
- It’s bullshit. There was no cause for that level of response.
- Newsom accurately stated that the move from Dumpy was “purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.”
- And that was the goal. But it didn’t work… at least so far.
- There was no massive property destruction or looting. The protests themselves were in large part calm, other than some flare-ups caused by federal agents and local authorities using tear gas and flash-bang grenades.
- Were the protestors armed and dangerous? No. The worst offenses were the tagging of graffiti on federal buildings and the throwing of a few rocks.
- How many people were arrested in yesterday’s skirmish? A dozen? A hundred?
- Um, no. One person was arrested. One.
- And despite that, The Dumpster was screaming into the void, “the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved” if Newsom and Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass “can’t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can’t.”
- And here’s the funny part in that regard: LAPD and the LA Country Sheriff’s Department handled everything just fine on their own. At no point were they close to being “overwhelmed,” as was described by Republicans with an agenda from far away.
- But that didn’t stop Dump from taking credit for quelling the alleged violence. He sent notes of congratulations to the National Guard troops for their efforts… before the troops had arrived.
- And the troops never got to be part of the conflict. They were not deployed in any street action.
- They got here and got set up in front of a federal building in the early hours this morning, long after any protests had ended. They did nothing.
- One more very important note.
- Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a statement that the Defense Department is "mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles. And, if violence continues, active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton will also be mobilized - they are on high alert."
- That’s right. He threatened to use our active-duty military against citizens of the USA.
- So let’s finally talk about what’s really going on.
- This was a dress rehearsal for Dump’s desire to go into full fascist dictator mode. Under very dubious legality, he called in the National Guard despite there being no need for them. His defense secretary said that U.S. Marines would violently engage residents.
- And Dump will not stop at Los Angeles — a place where he is already detested. No, he’ll do this in any city where organized protest to his policies take place.
- He’s just using LA as a test case to see what he’ll be allowed to get away with.
- And once again… I feel nothing but pride at how my area of the country has reacted to Dump’s immigration goons.
- This is by no means over. It’s a situation in flux still.
- But I’ll tell you one thing: i cannot fucking WAIT until next Saturday’s “No Kings” national day of defiance.
- Once again, I’ll include a link to find a “No Kings” event near you — they are scheduled in all 50 states, with over 1,000 event total.
- This is, of course, assuming that Dump doesn’t create some false narrative to engage the Insurrection Act or declare martial law so that his birthday party isn’t derailed by American people expressing their Constitutional right to peaceably assemble.
- Enough on that for now. We’re fine, and now people in the area are all the more energized and engaged in the battle to stop the cruel, evil, and anti-American agenda of the Dump regime.
- Let’s move on.
- Yesterday, Dumples the Depressed Clown said there would be “serious consequences” if his now former-best-friend Elon Musk funds Democratic candidates to run against Republicans who vote in favor of the GOP’s sweeping budget bill.
- “If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that. He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that.”
- As usual, Dumpy did not specify what these consequences the wealthiest man on Earth would face.
- Dumpy, much like a high school girl who’s best friend hooks up with her boyfriend at a party, also said he has no desire to repair his relationship with Musk after a feud between the two men erupted into public view earlier this week.
- Asked if he thought his relationship with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO was over, Sad Don said, “I would assume so, yeah.”
- And Dump ended his self pity party by mentioning, “But I think Elon, really, I think it’s a shame that he’s so depressed and so heartbroken.”
- Snortttttttttt.
- Moving on.
- Five members of the right-wing extremist group the Proud Boys — who stormed the U.S. Capitol during the January 6 insurrection and were later pardoned by Dumpy — are suing the government for more than $100 million.
- They allege the Justice Department and FBI violated their constitutional rights after arresting and jailing them for their participation in the effort to stop Congress from certifying former President Joe Biden's election victory in 2020.
- The group of whiny bitches that filed the lawsuit Friday in Florida, includes Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, Zachary Rehl, Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, and Dominic Pezzola.
- In 2023, a jury convicted Tarrio, Rehl, Nordean, and Biggs of entering a seditious conspiracy against the U.S. government. In several trials, each of the leaders of the group had been issued lengthy prison sentences, ranging from 22 to 15 years.
- Hey, here’s a funny question: why did Donnie Dump — who was the president on January 6, 2021 — call in the National Guard to assist in the very real violent riot happening at the Capitol that day?
- If you say that he wasn’t allowed to then — but was allowed to yesterday in LA — think real fucking hard about how it feels to be the hypocritical piece of shit that you are.
- Let’s move on.
- Timothy Gregg, an agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, is now facing federal charges of producing child porn.
- He’s charged with the production of child sexual abuse material. Gregg was arrested after the father of the victim found sexually explicit photos and videos of the child and an older man on the child's cell phone.
- Check out this fucking genius MAGA guy: Gregg used his Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security email address to book the hotels he used for the sexual encounters with the child.
- Good job, ya fucking child molesting idiot. Slow clap.
- And now, The Weather: “Wings” by Foxwarren
- From the Sports Desk… tonight is Game 2 of the NBA championships.
- The Pacers had shocked the heavily-favorited Thunder in game 1 via a buzzer beater with 0.3 seconds left. We’ll see how things go tonight.

So again, to be very clear — there are no large-scale riots in Los Angeles. It’s a peaceful morning. We’re fine, and we’re not going to allow Dumpy and his asshole friends to control the narrative, nor give them any excuse to do so. Plan on joining me next Saturday for “No Kings” day. And for now, as always… enjoy your day.
