But it was my first show of 2026, and it went well. Despite nothing being truly well in this era of shit, some things are still okay. My only note about this show: I debuted "Afterlife" by Alex G, and it turned out to be a great song to play live. To do so, I pulled up a video of Alex himself, performing the song pretty much solo at the Newport Folk Festival, and then — clamping my capo all the way at the eighth fret like he does — did it that way.
